INTRODUCTION to
Skagit County USGW
Back in 1996 I became the volunteer for the newly created USGenWeb Project and adopted Skagit County WA . I had a brand new computer and an old passion for genealogy.
I, currently, have 1031 Skagit County pages online ie ... yearbook pictures, biographies, original databases, and queries and research notes. The information is on 3 different domains all searchable with my Pico search engine. In 2002 I became involved in a project to "place faces to the names of the 1159 Washington State men whose names are on the Vietnam Memorial Wall"
I have had several volunteers who have helped out creating databases and answering emails for this Skagit County. I am especially proud of the yearbook pages that we have placed online. I appreciate two of my most dedicated volunteers Elaine and Lyle Swan
I do not live in Skagit County and am unable to visit the courthouse or do obituary lookups. Recently I became a member of the Skagit Valley Genealogy Society. I encourage you to vist their website for additional research information on Skagit County. They have FREE database information on Skagit families, excellent genealogy publications, and have trained genealogists to do local research.

This is a combination of databases that I have personally created and those created by other agencies. My databases are searchable through the search engine on this page. You will need to search the other databases one by one.
