Obituary of Alice Persons dated 13 Sep 1900

Alice, the infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Irven Persons, died at their home in Pekin early Sunday morning The babe was a sweet little one of seven months and nineteen days and the parents feel the loss keenly. The funeral was held at 10:30 o'clock Monday morning, the Rev. B. C. Gillis officiating. Sympathy is extended.

Obituary of Marian Isabelle Durfey Persons dated 24 Oct 1952

Mrs. I.E. Persons, Veteran Teacher, Died Last Week.
Mrs. Irving E. Persons of Pilot Mound, teacher in the rural schools of Fillmore county for many years and mother of Miss Louisa Persons, who back in 1922 was eighth grade teacher in the Preston school, passed away on Wednesday of last week. Her death occurred at the Eyota rest home, where she had been cared for the past six weeks. She was 80 years old. The former Marian Isabelle Durfey, she was born August 13, 1872, at Dexter, Minnesota. She married Mr. Persons on June 30, 1897. Besides her husband, she leaves to mourn her departure the one daughter, Louisa of Jamestown, North Dakota; one son Dayton L. Persons of Billings, Montana; one brother, P. D. Durfey of Cedar, Minnesota; and one sister, Mrs. Hugh W. Walker of Wykoff, all of whom have our sincere sympathy.
Funeral services were held last Saturday afternoon from the Boetzer funeral home in Chatfield, Rev. S. Theo. Severtson officiating, and she was laid to rest in the Saratoga cemetery.

Obituary of Irving E. Persons dated 22 Oct 1959

Irving E. Persons, 90, life long resident of Pilot Mound Township, passed away suddenly of a heart attack Wednesday afternoon of last week while attending an auction sale. Funeral services were held last Saturday afternoon in the Boetzer Funeral Home, Chatfield, Rev. George W. McMary officating, and he was laid to rest beside his wife in the Saratoga Cemetery.
Mr. Persons was born in Pilot Mound Township April 29, 1869, and married Miss Anna Durfey, and they farmed near Pilot Mound. She passed away several years ago. Mr. Persons leaves to mourn his departure a son, Dayton of Billings, Montana, a daughter Louisa (Mrs. J. Herbert Bamford) of Oakland, California; and two grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. All have our sympathy.

Obituary of Fred Persons dated 19 Sep 1934

The Funeral of Fred Persons was held at the home of his daughter, Mrs Will Hart. Mr Persons died Saturday night at his daughter's home at the age of 80. He had been in ill health for a number of months. Walter Evans, Charles Dickey, John Lahmore, Ross Holdredge, Crist Peterson, Chrst Christianson were pall bearers. Those from a distance to attend were Wilber Persons of New York Mills; Ray persons and son, Harold, of Eau Claire, Wis., Mr. and Mrs. Walter Herrick, Mrs. Ray Herrick, Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Persons of Rochester and Charles Persons of Pilot Mound. Rev. L. D. williams had charge of the services and interment was in Evergreen cemetery.
